Overview
At LearningBridge, your privacy and security is a top priority. We have therefore created and adopted the following policy for personal information received from our users. This policy describes why we collect the information we do and what we do with the information we collect
Scope of Policy
This policy applies to the entire staff of LearningBridge. It does not apply to our customers running a survey on our site. If you have privacy concerns outside of our scope, then you should contact the individuals responsible for running the survey.
Information
Personal Information
We collect the names and gender of our users to make our surveys more customizable and targeted. We use it strictly to determine how the text is displayed/sent for a survey or invitation.
Email Addresses
At LearningBridge, we collect e-mail addresses strictly for the use of running surveys.
LearningBridge will
  • Send you an invitation to take a survey that you are invited to.
  • Send you reminders to take any surveys not yet completed.
  • Store your e-mail address in a database accessible only by the LearningBridge staff.
  • Make your e-mail address available to individuals responsible for those administrating the survey.
  • Store the password you select for use in any future surveys you are invited to.
LearningBridge will not
  • Sell or otherwise distribute your e-mail address or any individual user information beyond LearningBridge.
  • Send you advertisements.
Passwords
We need to identify you when you log in to our site. We need a password to keep other people from impersonating you on our site.
When you are invited to the survey, a randomly generated password is generated for you. Should you choose to, you can change your password to something that is easier for you to remember. Passwords are stored in a database available to the LearningBridge staff only, which is housed in a secure area and protected by a number of network security implementations.
LearningBridge will include your password in each Invitation / Reminder sent to the e-mail address specified in your profile (Your password will be in each Invitation and Reminder sent to you). Nobody outside of LearningBridge has access to your password*, including Survey Administrators and Survey Respondents. We will not give your password to anybody.

Network Information
Cookies
Cookies are used to store information about a user for a site, so each time the user returns for a visit the site has access to the stored information. While cookies can be incredibly useful and enhance a users browsing experience, LearningBridge does not employ the use of cookies. All information is stored on our servers.
3rd Party Advertising Cookies
Some companies use Cookies to "Track" a user and create a profile of them as they browse the web, in an attempt to deliver them targeted advertising. We don't use them.
IP addresses
An IP address is a big number. Everyone on the Internet has one. Every time you access our site, your computer sends us your IP address. When our server talks back to your computer, we send you ours. It's a mutual thing.
When you log into our site, we store this in our "login" log file. We store this information for security measures. We also use this number to count how many people come to our site.
Security
Security Measures Taken
Our servers are hosted in a secured server room, and are always running with the latest available software patches installed. We have a firewall to prevent unauthorized access to our servers. Our administrative passwords are changed regularly. For more about how your data is protected on our servers, visit our web-hosting providers web site at http://www.rackspace.com.
Submitting information to our website
When you submit information to our web site (such as submitting your login information to log in to the site or answering a question in a survey), you have two options: "Secure" and "Fast". This choice is made when you login by choosing the Login Mode. If you choose "Secure", then all communications between your computer and our web site are encrypted using industry standards. If you choose the "Fast" method, you will notice that the web site responds more quickly, but your communications are sent in plain text and subject to the small risk of being intercepted by a malicious computer user. Unless you explicitly choose "Fast", the "Secure" method of communication is used.
Email
Unfortunately, email is an insecure method of communication. Some third parties may be able to intercept your e-mail and read unencrypted mail. While this is unlikely, it is possible.
Notes
Common Sense
Nobody needs to know your password but you. We will never e-mail you asking for it. Because your password is sent to you with each invite/reminder, use a low security password; don't use the same password to access our site as you would to access your bank account.
